Quilt for a mentor
This quilt was for someone very special and unique in my life, so it had to reflect that.
I used a self-drafted design that I have made before, but I chose to make it using SOLIDS. I very rarely work in all solids. I used navy blues from several different fabric lines to achieve the tone on tone look I was going for.
The accent fabric is ice dyed using procion dyes. It is backed with a flannel sheet from my teenage bedroom, and bound using some of my favorite Swiss dot chambray.
For Scotte: love u forever.
