Betsy’s quilt

 The pieces for this quilt were cut out a few years ago, but were put away for a long time. There were several different possibilities for outcomes. 

Finally in March of 2025, I pulled them out and the quilt became something completely new. 

Using large scale and interesting modern prints, I leaned on basic half square triangles for a big visual impact. 

The backing is a sheet from my mom’s house: it smelled like her laundry detergent the whole time I was quilting it. 

This one was for Betsy, who has waited patiently for her quilt for a long time, and who was overjoyed to receive it.
