i used the ice-dye method to dye pieces of double gauze in an organic pattern and tied some of them into pinwheels, too! this was my first time trying ice dye! i used procion dyes and only two colors. i learned a lot about this dye method and am excited to try it on other fabrics.
the double gauze seems so fragile so i used zig zag stitch and double stitched every seam, and used only four pieces on the front. i hand quilted it to anchor everything together and it was VERY enjoyable! it was like quilting a cloud...
i'm saving this one for a special baby!
